Steve Fanagan is an award winning sound designer, editor and re-recording mixer, based at Ardmore Sound and Screenscene.


He studied Communications DCU graduating in 2000. He has, over many years, pursued a career in music, both performing and in the recording studio. In 2008, he participated in the FAS/Screen Training Ireland, Ardmore Sound, Sound EditorTraining Programme and subsequently entered the film and television sound postproduction sector.


Recent credits include; Room (2015), The Hallow (2015), Two By Two (2015), Frank (Feature, 2014), Miss Julie (Feature, 2014), The Last Days on Mars (Feature, 2013), The Sea (Feature, 2013), The Pervert’s Guide to Ideology (Documentary, 2012), What Richard Did (Feature, 2012) (Nomminated Best Sound IFTA 2013), Citadel (Feature, 2012) (Winner Best Sound IFTA 2012), Albert Nobbs (Feature, 2011) (Winner Best Sound IFTA 2013), Game of Thrones, Series 1 (HBO 10 Part Series, 2011) (Sound Fx and Foley Editor) (EMMY Nominated for Sound Editing 2011, Winner MPSE Golden Reel Award for Best Sound FX Editing), The Guard (Feature, 2011) (Nomminated Best Sound IFTA 2012).
