Travelling by Air to HearSay
The two nearest & most accessible Airports are Cork and Shannon (just outside Limerick City), both around 60 minutes drive from Kilfinane.
Dublin Airport is 3 hours drive (220km).
Shannon Airport is 65 Kilometres from Kilfinane. If coming transatlantic, there are lots of direct flights from the US and Canada (The Shannon Estuary was once the base for the transatlantic flying boat service!) Shannon is a still a very important stopover for many major Airlines. The following are the DIRECT flights to and from SHANNON in April 2019

Limerick City is at the top, & the blue road (M8) is the motorway from Cork (to the South 60 minutes) and Dublin (to the East 2.5 hours)

Coming to HearSay by Public Transport:
Bus Eireann runs two buses per day to/from Limerick City Bus Station to Kilfinane via Kilmallock. One Leaves Limerick City Bus Station at 10.30am (arriving 11.35am) and one leaves the city bus station at 17.40 (arriving 1849). There is NO SERVICE ON SUNDAYS .
Hourly buses run daily from Cork City to Limerick City stopping in Charleville (18Km) and from Cork to Dublin stopping in Mitchelstown. (18Km) and our HearSay Bus service (see below) can help with catching these on Sunday.
The closest Rail stations are Charleville (18Km), and Limerick Junction (28Km) both on the main Cork-Dublin line.
Coming to HearSay by Car
Coming by road, from the East (Dublin direction) or South (Cork) it is recommended to turn off the M8 Motorway at Mitchelstown (20 minutes south of Kilfinane). From the West (Kerry) or North (Limerick/Galway) come via Kilmallock on the R512 road.
We will do route maps closer to the Festival with photos of the few junctions to help drivers so do check back. Please note Kilfinane is wrongly spelt 'Kilfinanne' on some maps.
Parking - There’s plenty of free parking in the village, with lots of space in the cark park situated opposite the church on the East side of the village.
Cork Airport is 75 Kilometres from Kilfinane. Its a small and friendly airport just like Shannon. These are currently the DIRECT flights to and from CORK in April

We have found the website www.skyscanner.ie very good for finding the best value flights to Cork or Shannon.
Getting from the Airports to Kilfinane.
If you are flying into the country, we’d strongly recommend that you rent a car. At this time of year, it's possible for example to rent a Ford Focus in Cork Airport for just €50 for 4 days.
A Taxi from Shannon Airport to Kilfinane is around 90 Euros.
A taxi from Cork Airport to Kilfinane is around 105 Euros.
An online (closed) group will be set up prior to HearSay19 HearSay Attendees and Contributors to enable ride shares.
There are bus services (very easy to find in both airports) into Cork City Centre (Cork) and Limerick City Centre (Limerick).
You can catch a bus twice daily from Limerick to Kilfinane. (See more below) The closest towns served by Buses from Cork City are Mitchelstown and Charleville both 18 mins away. From which you can get a taxi.
You can also catch a bus to Mitchelstown (Destination Cork) or Limerick City (Destination Limerick) from Dublin Airport

There will be a special low-priced HearSay Bus service running over the festival weekend to help people get to the village and surrounding areas during the festival.
